The future belongs to the youth
Who is The Danish Red Cross Youth?
We believe in the youth of the world. We know that with all their energy and optimism, they can make a difference - for themselves, others and their whole community. Therefore, young people are not just the center of our projects - they create them.
Who is The Danish Red Cross Youth?
The Danish Red Cross Youth is Denmark's largest humanitarian youth organization with more than 10.000 children and young people participating in our activities. We are present in more than 100 cities all over Denmark with about 200 on-going and volunteer-driven activities.
We are a part of the Red Cross movement, and the purpose of The Danish Red Cross Youth is to improve the conditions and daily lives of vulnerable children and young people locally, nationally and internationally.
Our projects
Activities include homework cafés, summer camps, mentor projects, telephone hotlines, sport and health projects, support for children at asylum and women crisis centers, clubs, study support to prisoners, and international exchange and development programmes – among other things.
Do you want to join?
We are always looking for more support, more members and more volunteers. Unfortunately, most of our projects require that you can understand and speak Danish. But we do have a few options for English speakers who want to join The Danish Red Cross Youth as a volunteer – and we would love for you to join.
You can join our activities for young asylum seekers and refugees.
Currently, we have exchange and development programmes with Red Cross/Red Crescent Societies in Greenland, Eastern Europe, The Middle East and Africa. It’s possible to be involved in our international projects in Denmark. We involve volunteers in organizational activities, fundraising projects, communication and PR, advocacy and human resources.
